Astier de Villatte Nara Scented Candle

A quiet retreat into Nara — a serene Japanese town of ancient temples, moss-lined paths, and deer wandering freely beneath towering cedars. Inspired by evenings at the century-old Nara Hotel, the Nara Candle blends warm sandalwood with a touch of sweet, sensual jasmine. Ginger root, amber, and cashmeran add soft radiance, creating a scent that feels meditative, comforting, and beautifully transportive. Designed with perfumer Christophe Raynaud.

Hand-poured in Astier de Villatte’s signature plant-based wax with a touch of beeswax, the candle burns cleanly and diffuses its fragrance with gentle clarity. The pure cotton wick ensures a long, even burn. Each piece is housed in a hand-blown Tuscan glass vessel — subtly grey, delicately bubbled, and entirely singular — with labels printed on vintage lead presses to honor the maison’s historic craft.
