Bibi van der Velden's jewelry is crafted with 18k fairtrade gold, diamonds and baroque pearls, but also has an emotive quality. To her, jewellery should energize its wearer. Thus, her designs are artistic, personalized and playful. Bibi uses traditional jewelry-making and sustainable, rare materials like mammoth tusk, ostrich eggs and scarab wings. Each piece is hand-sketched and hand-crafted in wax, resembling "miniature sculptures".
