Astier de Villatte Alger Scented Candle

A sun-soaked stroll through Algiers — a North African city brushed with Parisian grace. The Alger Candle captures its striking contrasts: whitewashed Haussmann façades, blue shutters vibrating in the heat, and the faint mineral spark of the air. From shaded arcades drift the intoxicating scents of white campion, privet blossoms, wild jasmine, and bitter orange brightened with a whisper of spice. Created with Françoise Caron and the Takasago perfume team, it’s a fragrance that feels luminous, sensual, and alive with place.

Poured in Astier de Villatte’s signature plant-based wax with a touch of beeswax, the candle burns cleanly and diffuses its scent beautifully both hot and cold. A pure cotton wick ensures a long, even burn. Each piece is housed in a hand-blown Tuscan glass vessel — subtly grey, delicately bubbled, and entirely unique — with labels printed on vintage lead presses, honoring the maison’s artisanal heritage.
