Les Nuits recreates the intoxicating ambience of George Sand’s legendary gatherings, where Paris’ greatest artists — Chopin, Liszt, Balzac, Delacroix — drifted through candlelit rooms and midnight gardens. Dominique Ropion resurrects the novelist’s own private perfume, discovered in a small travel vial entrusted to historian Annick Le Guérant.

The fragrance opens with the opulence of Turkish and Damask rose — lush, luxurious, and powerfully expressive — deepened by earthy, sensual patchouli and the powdery elegance of iris. The result is a nocturnal, romantic perfume: warm, velvet-soft, and steeped in literary history. A scent that lingers like the final notes of a piano played at dawn.

Each bottle is accompanied by a beautifully printed book produced on Astier de Villatte’s historic typographic presses, tracing the epic story of the house’s three rediscovered perfumes, with essays, archival insight, and an interview with Dominique Ropion. Illustrated by Eva Jospin — a collector’s piece in itself.
