Edinburgh Scented Candle

A moody, windswept ascent to Edinburgh’s ancient heights. Perched upon volcanic rock, the city’s haunted castle inspires a scent steeped in atmosphere: the warmth of single malt whisky, damp cedarwood, moss-covered stone, and a cool mineral hush that lingers in the air. Notes of patchouli, cistus, and undergrowth create a deep, smoky elegance. Designed with perfumer Françoise Caron.

Hand-poured in Astier de Villatte’s signature plant-based wax with a touch of beeswax, the candle burns cleanly and releases its fragrance with remarkable clarity, both hot and cold. A pure cotton wick ensures a long, even burn. Each candle is set in a hand-blown Tuscan glass vessel — softly grey, delicately bubbled, and timelessly unique. Labels and packaging are printed on vintage lead presses, preserving the maison’s devotion to artisanal craft.
