Ruffle trim with raw, scalloped edges, hand-cut on a mid-19th-century antique trim cutter. These ruffles line the jacket's collar, button placket, hem and cuffs.
Hem and cuffs are elasticated.
Button closure in the front, with fabric-covered buttons.
Two discreet slit pockets.

The fabric is a tightly woven cotton with a typewriter finish, creating a paper-like hand feel.
